Artist's Comments

Part of my art trade with :iconcorkscrew-reality: of her character Das Teir. I had a lot of fun drawing him, although it didn't really come out as I had originally planned. I had trouble with the picture looking too 'busy'. I made the background less messy, which made it a lot less busy than it was, but I can't tell if it's still too chaotic. I also had trouble with his nose but that's another story lol.

Anyways, tell me what you think

It's amazing; I really love how you do fur. It makes me so jealous. Lol. I say fuck yeah to scribble backgrounds, and in my opinion chaotic-ness looks good in Das Tier pictures. I think my favorite part though are actually the spit splatters, I don't know why though. I can't wait to see the others! I just hope my parts of the trade can look half as good as yours. Lol.

C: yay I'm glad you like it so much. The others....the othersssssss lol I hope I get them done soon. They're not cooperating.

Bah they'll be amazing and I'll love them D8...and I wants them...

That is mind blowing. I love his fur, it looks very real, and each individual tooth looks so deadly. The spit is certainly unique and adds a great effect, and contrast to the black and grey, and I love that tongue! I seriously can't say enough good things about this piece, especially his nose which I think you did an amazing job on, and his eye and muzzle. I've seen several wolf pictures, but there's someting more sinister about Das Tier that makes any image of him better than anything else wolf-ish that I've seen. Awesome awesome job!

Awesome picture. the final product is great. I tihnk you could have actually made the background a lot busier than you did. As Haley said, i think chaotic is good with Das Tier.
You've always been able to draw/color fur very well so kudos on that.
my favorite part would be the spit with him. it's not drool, but full on sputtering spit.

:omfg: ...O...M...G...

That's incredible!!! I first saw it and went, "Oh my gosh! How did she DO that?!! It's amazing and so beautiful!"
I looked again and then said, "holy crap, it's so amazingly real, i'm actually scared to go down any long dark hallways by myself now" O.O

All of it is just , the dark background, the frothy spittle, and even that cute little doggie nose (which is great by the way)

The fur and the way you used the shadows is just breathtaking. What did you use? how long did it take you?

Like I said, this is just amazing! Beautiful art!
